Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or wholesale operations—preferably in consumer goods or DTC.
- 4+ years of people leadership experience
- Proven ability to manage complex timelines and juggle shifting priorities across multiple cross-functional stakeholders, while proactively solving problems and driving continuous operational improvements.
- Demonstrated experience working with 3PLs, international freight, reverse logistics, and factory shipments.
- Clear and effective communicator across written, verbal, and visual mediums.
- Comfortable using ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite), WMS, 3PL portals, and shipping tools.
- Strong analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and cost modeling.
- You’re local to the San Francisco Bay Area (or willing to relocate for this role). You’re willing to work from our office in the Dogpatch neighborhood a minimum of 2-3 days per week (i.e. this is not a remote role, though we do maintain flexibility).
Responsibilities
- Oversee global day-to-day logistics execution across our fulfillment network, ensuring shipments move on time and escalations are addressed with urgency and precision.
- Serve as the primary logistics contact across warehouse, factory, and marketplace partners—driving alignment, transparency, and accountability.
- Lead our hardworking and globally distributed Wholesale Operations & Operations teams. You’ll keep things moving, and help folks grow while making sure we’re hitting goals and solving problems together.
- Coordinate international factory shipments in collaboration with product, planning, and warehouse teams; manage transfer orders with attention to tax compliance and rebate eligibility.
- Lead all logistics aspects of new product introductions, including arrival tracking, in-stock readiness, and sample management.
- Support end-to-end wholesale order execution and serve as a logistics partner to the Amazon team for direct fulfillment initiatives.
- Own and manage the logistics error resolution process—investigating root causes, coordinating cross-functional fixes, and implementing sustainable improvements.
- Monitor and analyze shipping timelines and costs across transportation modes to support launch planning, demand forecasting, and strategic freight decisions.
- Manage freight provider relationships and ASN compliance; evaluate new vendors to strengthen performance, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
- Maintain accurate HTS codes and tariff classifications, applying customs strategies to reduce costs and ensure compliance.
- Reconcile logistics expenses and assist with audits, surfacing insights to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Maintain internal documentation, trackers, and SOPs that enable transparency, training, and continuous improvement across the team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Amazon AWD, marketplace fulfillment, and/or big-box account logistics.
- Familiarity with HTS code classification, tariff engineering, and cross-border compliance strategies.
- Experience with new product introduction (NPI) logistics and launch timeline coordination.
- Confidence building out internal reporting dashboards or trackers in Excel or Google Sheets.
- A knack for vendor management, rate negotiation, and optimizing freight spend.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and logistics-related financial reconciliation.
- Experience transitioning a logistics function in-house or scaling logistics systems and processes.
- Interest in sustainable logistics practices, packaging optimization, or carbon-conscious freight planning.
