Requirements
- Significant and deep experience being the ‘point person’ in the room with C-level executives or equivalent-level personae in other fields, counseling them in connection with high-stakes challenges and decisions.
- Experience counseling Fortune 500 companies in corporate communications, external relations, government relations, investor relations, brand marketing, and/or public affairs as an external consultant where you were the primary relationship manager for C-Suite clients and fully responsible for revenue generation and growth with respect to those clients.
- Experience as a Chief Communications Officer, Head of Government Relations, Head of Investor Relations, or other senior stakeholder.
- Experience as a senior staff member for elected officials or other policymakers.
- Experience as a litigator in ‘bet-the-company’ litigation and had to regularly interact with and convince senior client stakeholders to pursue your strategy.
- Experience as a senior multi-client lobbyist.
- Experience in a senior role at a trade association, advocacy organization, political action committee, university, or philanthropic organization responsible for persuading prominent individuals and entities to fund or join your organization.
- Experience starting your own consulting, advisory, or other business where you were selling to senior stakeholders.
- Experience from fast-paced, demanding work environments where you needed to be committed and dedicated to delivery excellence in a high-stakes environment, such as senior positions in government, on political campaigns, or at law, management consulting or financial services firms.
- A deep understanding of C-suite stakeholder communications challenges faced by Fortune 500 companies.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, knowing how to best frame work for C-level audiences.
- Impeccable attention to detail and well-organized.
Responsibilities
- Manage C-suite relationships with sophisticated clients and prospects across the full lifecycle of an Applecart engagement, including opportunity identification, pitch, scoping, negotiations, advising on strategy and managing the account post-sale, and demonstrating results to extend and expand our relationship with clients.
- Work with senior advisors and product leaders to educate C-suite clients and potential clients about all the different ways Applecart’s platform can enable them to impact their business’ most important stakeholders.
- Connect Applecart’s value proposition to solving clients’ challenges, driving successful outcomes for clients and increasing revenue for Applecart.
- Closely follow news, regulatory filings and other media, looking for every opportunity to create value for clients in a timely way.
- Serve as a senior strategist, counselor and primary executive-level point of contact to decision makers at the highest levels of Fortune 500 corporate communications, public affairs, and marketing teams.
- Coordinate internal resources to deliver results that exceed client expectations, and bring in resources external to Applecart where and as necessary to maximize client chances of success.
