Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a concentration in Marketing is preferred
  • 8+ years of business experience is required; experience in event planning required
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Powerpoint, Excel and Word
  • Verified organization, project management and event planning skills; strong understanding of trade show production requirements and timelines; ability to plan, manage and meet deadlines across multiple events/cities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross functionally and lead teams as well as develop targeted strategies and implement tactics and initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to define and measure marketing program effectiveness
  • Possess the ability to interact comfortably with higher management as well as interact with media, customers, owners, sales associates, etc.
  • Managerial experience minimum of 5 years
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Powerpoint, Excel and Word, Outlook
  • 15-20% seasonal travel is required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the trade show & content engagement COE across FBIN. Integrating teams, establishing best practices and processes across the organization.
  • Lead the strategy, tactical and logistical planning as well as project management and execution of events within Fortune Brands Innovation, including but not limited to: national and regional trade shows, industry events, and internal corporate events
  • Provide marketing support for other customer-focused events such as immersive showroom events, customer training, on-site visits, etc.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing in determining which trade shows and marketing opportunities are strategically critical and make recommendations to cross-functional teams based on corporate priorities and goals
  • Plan and execute all aspects of Tier 1 and 2 level trade shows and assigned marketing events from inception through completion, organizing events within company budget and leading all logistical event execution deliverables, including space negotiations and contracts, coordination/maintenance of exhibits properties, hotel and travel management, talent and promotions, etc.
  • Manage the overall project including planning, briefs, communications (pre, during, post event), cross-functional and executive meetings, vendor management, execution, budgeting, capital requests, demo and running water vignettes dev, summarization of key learnings, reporting, lead follow-up and ROI analysis of trade shows and events
  • Manage all aspects of exhibits including concepting, structure graphics creation and approvals, exhibit structure and material shipments, product ordering, promotional items planning and pre- and post-show delivery requirements
  • Communicate to internal stakeholders on pre-event plans, daily onsite observations and post-event recaps as required
  • Oversea the develop high-quality training materials, including e-learning modules, webinars, job aids, and interactive learning experiences.
  • Work closely with SMEs, HR, leadership teams, and other stakeholders to identify training needs and align content with business goals.
  • Leverage learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, and multimedia technologies to deliver scalable training solutions.
