Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in social strategy, creative strategy, editorial content, or digital brand storytelling for a brand, publisher or agency.
- A portfolio of platform-native work or campaign ideas that show originality, cultural awareness, and creative thinking, with a strong fluency in short form content, with long form as a plus.
- Deep platform knowledge and cultural fluency—especially on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
- Strong understanding of platform-native storytelling and editorial voice.
- Proven experience translating brand goals into social-first concepts and content.
- Strong writing, briefing, and communication skills—able to inspire and collaborate across teams.
- Exceptional communication skills—you’re as comfortable writing a killer brief as you are pitching a bold new idea.
- Comfortable being a change agent and implementing new ways of working in a rapidly growing team and organization.
Responsibilities
- Engage our communities across all platforms, bringing the Sol de Janeiro brand to life on social and throughout on-the-ground content.
- Lead the development of SDJ’s social editorial calendar and platform-specific storytelling strategies in partnership with Director of Social Media, Content & Community.
- Act as the team’s internal creative strategist—bridging brand goals with social behavior, trends, and visual storytelling.
- Concept, shape and lead the vision for content that supports always-on storytelling, brand and product campaigns and opportunistic socially native moments.
- Write clear, compelling briefs for creators, freelancers, and cross-functional partners—bridging brand needs with creative opportunity.
- Identify new content and platform opportunities based on market trends and dynamics to keep the brand fresh, relevant and culturally aligned.
- Collaborate closely with Social Creators, the Community team, and Influencer & Brand Experience partners to ensure cohesion and creative consistency – maximizing and enhancing our social footprint.
- Participate in consumer marketing and creative brainstorms, campaign development, and creative reviews—bringing POV, polish, and big-picture thinking.
- Partner with regional teams to support global storytelling and content moments on our channels – showcasing IRL moments to foster trust, build communities worldwide and highlight our brands power to live beyond the screen.
- Own social reporting – leveraging qualitative and quantitative metrics to glean meaningful insights that will inform actionable strategies.
