Requirements
- 5-7+ years product management and project management experience
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Proven experience overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions
- Ability to translate complex client requirements into system specifications and test plans in new environments
- Strong quality assurance background in benefits administration
- Ability to identify risks and articulate impacts to stakeholders
- Direct experience with automated software and system management tools
- Experience with relational databases and data extraction/manipulation tools
- Knowledge of database design, file management, data transfer and web service (API) techniques
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly languages
Responsibilities
- Work with the service team, vendors, third-parties, IT teams and clients to discuss technical scope, define business requirements, set project and program expectations, and manage involvement in analysis activities
- Work with cross functional teams – technology, business and operations to manage multiple project needs and to ensure product development meets defined needs
- Lead the deployment effort and partner with internal leaders to define overall deployment/rollout strategy for clients and colleagues, including beta or pilot testing, if appropriate
- Participate (as needed) in reviews of analysis, product & technical design, test plans, and standard operating procedures on our more complicated products and systems processes
- Assist in the planning, design, and development of new applications and enhancements
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the system and develop strategies for improving, or further utilizing, the system and all relative ancillary integrated technology (i.e., UDP, API calls, Customer Service application integrations, third-party system integrations like SSO, new application integrations, etc.)
- Perform gap and/or impact analysis and delegate as appropriate
- Assist in prioritizing and strategizing new product releases, to include setting goals, metrics and measures for success
- Contributes to overall strategic roadmap, including assessing stakeholder needs, business case development, and ROI determination
- Act as an escalation point when projects need organizational intervention
- Develop ‘voice of the customer’ in partnership with Product and Solutions leaders, utilizing market research, focus groups, client feedback, usability studies and other methods
- Perform detailed product review of final developed solution to ensure original scope and needs are achieved
- Coordinate with multiple teams and team members across several functional services and locations
Preferred Qualifications
