Requirements

  • 7+ years of personnel management experience
  • 7+ years of experience in designing, building, and implementing software solutions for P&C Insurance organizations (Guidewire Policy Center and Gosu experience a plus)
  • Technical experience with Java deployed applications on a variety of platforms i.e. Linux/Windows, Tomcat/WebSphere, AWS preferred
  • Experience leading and building Information Systems delivery organizations
  • Property & Casualty Insurance domain knowledge and change management experience across IT and Business (Non-Standard Auto experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities communicating and reporting at the business and IT executive level
  • Significant experience in project management
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects to successful delivery
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with stakeholders and senior business leadership of departments and customers participating in this project
  • Ability to organize and work effectively with project teams made up of internal staff and/or external parties (underwriting, operations, product management, vendors, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience and relevant expertise in the configuration and deployment of Information Systems business solutions
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor management and contract structuring
  • Ability to build consensus among business and technology stakeholders
  • Technical experience with Java deployed applications on variety of platforms ie Linux/Windows, Tomcat/WebSphere, AWS
  • Education equivalent to a college degree in computer science or related field, or the equivalent in related work experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of internal and external employees and contractors in supporting cross-functional 5+ Policy Management application systems which have significant impact on the company’s objectives and results
  • Provide technical oversight and management of a portfolio and backlog of policy management incidents and problems of varying size and complexity
  • Lead coordination of Information Systems resources with customers, vendors and other Information Systems areas
  • Provide quality, timely and cost-effective Information Systems services in support of the company mission and strategies
  • Represent the company externally with Industry bodies and other partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Guidewire Policy Center and Gosu experience a plus
  • Non-Standard Auto experience a plus
