Requirements

  • 5+ Years of leadership experience
  • Semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing experience desired
  • Optics experience strongly desired, able to implement Optics manufacturing and handling guidelines
  • Lean six sigma, Lean manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years of related experience
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical problem-solving ability
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment and contribute to cross-functional and collaborative teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel

Responsibilities

  • Drive Manufacturing Cycle Time and FPY test cycle time improvements to ensure readiness for surge in future demand and strengthening our competencies on our teams
  • Demonstrate a robust pass down process from first to second shift with continuity of production on same tool and transition through strong daily communication with the leads, supervisors and managers
  • Identify cross-training opportunities with both shifts to improve shift productivity and effectiveness
  • Develop Pareto to ID disruptions followed by 8D to problem solve
  • Develop play books to meet various production plan requirements to include resource planning, overtime planning and management
  • Key performance indicators for this position are Safety, On-time delivery, Daily Schedule Adherence, productivity index, inventory, Quality and Employee Engagement
  • Maintain a positive rapport with all levels of the organization in order to foster and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, high levels of morale, and high employee engagement
  • Build a strong rapport with the Operations Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and New Product Introduction organization to gain support and execution through build/test cycle and problem solving
  • Develops, coordinates, leads, and executes production plans to assure smooth workflow; assigns, monitors and reviews the progress, accuracy, and quality of assigned work
  • Plans and evaluates optimal resource utilization and efficiency of operation to minimize costs and allow for on-time delivery of product to customers
  • Accurately establishes plant capacity
  • Ability to adapt and succeed in a dynamic environment with ever-changing customer requirements
  • Directs, guides, monitors, and evaluates Operations Team personnel to accomplish specific production and supply chain goals consistent with established operational, housekeeping (5S), and safety procedures and processes
  • Engage in problem solving in complex situations and process improvements in streamlining work processes
  • Responsible for communicating production status, part shortages, interruptions, delays, and stoppages encountered to internal customers and manufacturing leadership
  • Work closely with inventory planning and purchasing to ensure adequate supply of right materials in the right place at the right time for Team success
  • Collaborate with various Project Managers, Planning, Engineering and Quality Assurance personnel to ensure timely on-time shipments of multiple product lines to our valued customers
  • Develop and implement sound process controls; confirm routine quality and Team Leader checks and ensure all processes and procedures are executed using controlled methods and in accordance with work instructions
  • Drives continuous improvement efforts and projects to improve production methods and processes to produce quality products that meet customer requirements in a cost-effective manner
  • Develops high impact supervisors: Fostering a high-performance culture and holding Supervisors accountable for team development in addition to business results
  • Employee development, career path planning, mentoring, training, cross training, and employee evaluation
  • Analysis and resolution of process, material issues and shortages, including timely reporting of materials transactions to ensure inventory accuracy
  • In process and product quality, including component testing for parts sent to field, DMR testing, and final tool qualification and validation
  • ECO initiation, assessment, and distribution, together with active participation in the Change Control Board
  • Comply with ISO 9001 manufacturing and assembly documentation to include planning, resources, production/service provision (including externally provided), measurements and monitoring, release, delivery and post-delivery activities – 4.4, 8.1- 8.7
