Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or technical school certification in an industrial-related field and 7 years’ supervisory experience in maintenance operations, including mentoring and developing people, managing workloads, hiring and promotion of employees, and leading a work or project team OR 9 years’ Supervisory experience in maintenance operations, including mentoring and developing people, managing workloads, hiring and promotion of employees, and leading a work or project team.
  • Prior work experience as a maintenance manager or related role.
  • 7 years’ industrial maintenance experience (for example, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and working with mechanical power transmissions, electrical power, machines controls, or in industrial, robotic, electronic maintenance, or related area).

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages productivity for an assigned area of responsibility by preparing reviewing andor analyzing business reports.
  • Communicates goals and manages staffing and scheduling.
  • Assigns duties and coordinates workloads in order to achieve facility goals.
  • Identifies associate customer andor supplier concerns.
  • Determines corrective actions to take and makes recommendations in order to resolve.
  • Manages associates and leaders in an assigned area of responsibility by giving direction monitoring performance and providing feedback.
  • Identifies training and development needs and provides opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Teaches supports and models Manufacturing and company policies and procedures.
  • Participates in the hiring promotion coaching teaching and evaluation of associates leaders and managers.
  • Drives the business plan for an assigned area of responsibility to achieve facility goals for example production quality safety by implementing operational improvements.
  • Monitors and tracks expenses and capital expenditures compared to budget.
  • Monitors asset utilization.
  • Develops distributes andor maintains procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Oversees Maintenance department daily operations.
  • Monitors and drives department performance related to maintaining manufacturing equipment and monitoring and ensuring associate compliance with state and federal regulations for example OSHA Hazardous Waste NFPA Storm Water DOT relating to Maintenance operations.
  • Coordinates with senior leaders to provide input into the design.
  • Ensures the successful implementation of modified and new equipment within the facility.
  • Leads Maintenance trainings as required.
  • Reviews Maintenance budget estimates ensuring the efficient usage of funds by eliminating poorrepetitive purchases.
  • Collaborates with Maintenance associates to ensure the optimization of capacity and service delivery.
  • Supports and collaborates with other functions at Walmart for example Human Resources Safety Food SafetyQuality Assurance Quality Assurance to achieve objectives.
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs developing and communicating business plans and priorities removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance providing resources identifying performance standards measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly developing contingency plans and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training mentoring assigning duties building a teambased work environment establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations providing recognition and rewards coaching for success and improvement and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Promotes and supports company policies procedures mission values and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application ensuring compliance with them and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans programs and initiatives consulting with business partners managers coworkers or other key stakeholders soliciting evaluating and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Analyzing financial/operations data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Robotic Engineering, or related area.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Managing budgets/P&L.
  • RETA Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) certification or 2 years’ regulatory compliance experience (for refrigeration systems holding over 10,000 pounds of ammonia).
  • Supervisory experience in maintenance operations.
  • Utilizing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or another continuous improvement program.
