Requirements

  • Graduate degree minimum required (i.e., MBA, MPH, MSc or PharmD / PhD) and 5+ years of experience required with MSc/MPH/MBA degree; 1+ year of experience required with PharmD/PhD in HEOR or relevant related fields (health economics, epidemiology, health services research, or other research-focused public health field)
  • Demonstrated in depth understanding of fundamental health services research methods and tools including but not limited to: Health economics, Cost-effectiveness / budgetary impact modeling, Patient reported outcomes measures, Real world evidence studies, Epidemiology, Statistics
  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of teamwork in a matrix environment
  • Ability to understand, synthesize, and summarize complex topics is required
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills are required
  • Demonstrated ability to assess anticipated value for projects/programs to ensure alignment to business priorities and prioritize accordingly
  • An “execution mindset” focused on getting things done quickly and simply
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects involving complex processes, significant budget, competing deadlines, and rapidly shifting priorities in a compliant manner
  • Strong project management abilities (contracting, budgeting, vendor management) essential

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of strategic HV&E activities to support launch preparation both inline and pipeline vaccines with a focus on IDM countries
  • Contribute to development of the Global Value & Evidence Strategy in close partnership with PHI and cross-functional teams
  • Lead on execution of scientifically robust studies to support health economic models and value propositions, with a focus on ex-US markets
  • Support and train Country Health & Value colleagues in their local adaptations of Global health economic models
  • Execute cross-functional evidence generation studies and projects to demonstrate the value proposition catered to diverse stakeholders (regulators, payers, patients, physicians, and policy makers)
  • Develop new and update existing PHI tools including strategy documents, evidence blueprints, economic models, scenario analyses, global value dossiers (GVDs), and innovative tools to support value proposition
  • Develop and design real-world evidence generation plans to fill key data gaps, with a focus on ex-US markets
  • Develop data dissemination plans and communicate new evidence to stakeholders via publications and conference publications in a timely manner
  • Develop effective processes and ways of working to support collaboration with key internal stakeholder groups (e.g., medical, clinical, commercial, etc.)
  • Identify new opportunities for value creation based on an understanding of health care systems and the potential benefits of Pfizer vaccines
  • Support development of innovative approaches to evidence generation that meet payer needs and integrate these with the needs of other customers
  • Prepare for value story and cost effectiveness modeling content to support vaccine technical committee recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in vaccines is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of pneumococcal disease or infectious disease therapeutic area preferred
  • Experience with VTC and HTA organizations such as ACIP, NICE, JCVI, etc.
  • Proven ability to develop strong partnerships across multiple functions within a large organization
