Senior Manager – Data Science – Conversational AI

Masters degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related technical discipline
3+ years with an engineering or data-science individual contributor role
2+ years of hands-on management experience
2+ years experience collaborating directly with cross functional teams such as product, business stakeholders on clarifying business requirements and presenting machine learning solutions
Ability to manage innovative technology projects
Ability to manage multiple business stakeholders and technology leaders simultaneously
Strong Risk Management: Identify potential risks and escalate as needed, identify critical path activities, remove roadblocks to ensure progress
Strong communication skills both written and verbal; ability to communicate at all levels; able to influence/challenge and negotiate with minimum direct supervision
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present technical solutions to non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to make decisions, adapt to change
Strong track record of identifying, hiring, nurturing and mentoring top talent
Be hands-on in all aspects of the project lifecycle from requirements gathering, data acquisition and preparation, hypothesis generation, ideation, coding, testing, and deployment of data science products.

Lead overall programs, partnering with project teams and business partners, and support problem-solving efforts
Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team members, along with supporting their development of business and technical skills
Collaborate with other Data Science Managers across the organization for aligning strategies and effectively managing talent
Communicate effectively at all levels; influence/challenge and negotiate with minimum direct supervision

Knowledge and strong interest in AI innovation trends
Strong expertise and knowledge in deep learning, NLP, ML-ops, and distributed systems
