Requirements
- 5-7+ years of leadership experience in high functioning, creatively excellent brand teams, ideally both in-house and agency-side, working on top tier brands and managing multiple stakeholders. Late-stage startup experience preferred.
- Advanced in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects; advanced in Figma.
- Experience managing and mentoring designers while fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and a strong design aesthetic.
Responsibilities
- Drive workflow optimization and team engagement by implementing and optimizing tools, including AI, and scaling new processes to enhance efficiency and impact.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and art direction across creative work and foster a dynamic and positive environment for the entire team.
- Effectively collaborate and partner with stakeholders and senior leadership, acting as a steward of the brand and a subject matter expert, demonstrating accountability and creative leadership in service of business goals.
- Drive the strategic evolution of Guild’s visual language and design system, leveraging data, competitive insights, and market trends to strategically uplevel creative output.
- Support the operational excellence of the team through project intake and resourcing across creative requests, and collaborate with project management to ensure delivery.
- Advocate for design decisions and foster a culture of education and learning across presentations, feedback, critiques, and reviews.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills through actionable direction and feedback, driving best practices and maintaining quality standards.
- Manage brand and asset libraries, documentation, and team resources to provide the team with the tools and support needed for successful creative execution.
- Help manage external agencies and vendors where needed to oversee outsourced creative development.
- Manage and support team, including contractors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Video, motion, web, and animation experience is a strong plus but not required.
