Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in an accounting / business / finance or related discipline; Relevant professional accounting designation (CPA/CA) or working towards one
  • Experience managing large datasets using tools such as Excel to drive insights (e.g. PivotTables, Graphs) and other MS Office Tools (PowerPoint, Word)
  • Sound knowledge or experience in financial reporting, planning and analysis, accounting allocations, project finance or budgeting
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal), with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, and ability to communicate complex information in a clear and compelling manner
  • Ability to manage and achieve multiple deadlines, both internal and external

Responsibilities

  • Manage CAE Group’s NIE (non-interest expense) forecast and planning cycles alongside Functions Finance
  • Prepare quarterly performance reporting packages and drive management analysis for CAE Group’s senior management (e.g. professional fee spend, learning, allocations, recruitment spend)
  • Lead quarterly NIE story reporting to provide insights on the key business drivers related to staff cost, professional fees and other relevant expenses including financial advice to optimize NIE
  • Manage the professional fees (3rd party) fulfillment process from coordinating talent selection with 3rd parties and audit teams, reviewing statement of work to obtaining the necessary approvals
  • Monitor and reconcile global professional fees spend (3rd party usage) against budgets, Statement of Work, invoices and timesheets
  • Liaise with Functions Finance to calculate professional fees accruals and update any key NIE items on the rolling forecast based on changes within the CAE Group
  • Own and manage PARs, OSOWs, SRMAs, PARAs and MSAs with vendors and RBC procurement
  • Liaise with RBC Global Compliance on ensuring alignment with Enterprise Policy and Standards: Code of Conduct and Culture, monitored employees, gift and entertainment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in resource management including implementing resourcing strategies, resource database management, optimization for productivity and vendor management
