Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience managing complex initiatives in the financial services industry.
- Mutual Fund and ETF industry experience.
- Experience negotiating / interacting with external and internal parties and the utilization of both assertiveness and diplomacy to reach favorable outcomes.
- Strong project management experience with cross-functional project management and relationship building skills; can work in both a strategic and executional capacity.
Responsibilities
- Managing initiatives for Schwab’s Mutual Fund Marketplace (MFMP) which has over 17,000 mutual funds from over 600 mutual fund families.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for most of Schwab’s asset manager relationships on topics such as mutual fund availability, fund adds, fund maintenance and the utilization of Schwab systems to manage these changes.
- Acting as business lead on negotiations of contract terms with asset managers.
- Partnering with key stakeholders in Advisor and Investor Services, Retirement and Clearing enterprises to support requests and resolve issues related to the MFMP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with wealth or asset management
- Understanding of SQL and database management systems
- Experience with Morningstar
- Critical thinking skills to break down complex situations and pinpoint root causes with a focus on solutions to drive improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to zoom in to scrutinize specifics while also zooming out to understand how those details fit into broader goals.
