Requirements

  • Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • Active CompTIA Security+ DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification
  • 5+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Linux versions
  • 5+ years of experience with deploying, securing and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems (RHEL5/6/7/8)
  • 5+ years of experience with maintaining and configuring Active Directory (AD)

Responsibilities

  • Oversees system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture
  • Provides complex problem resolution, root cause analysis and technical support for delivery systems
  • Participates in the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems
  • Plans and coordinates system changes
  • Administers user system access and establishes safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements
  • Oversees activities to monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning
  • Mentors, leads and trains others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support
  • 3+ years of experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
  • 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware
  • 3+ years of experience evaluating and effectively communicating system problems and resolution
  • 3+ years of experience integrating security solutions (e.g. Splunk) into information systems
