Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, a closely related field of study, or relevant industrial experience
- Scientific knowledge and ability to understand and carry out standard methods relevant to the department
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working with standard laboratory equipment and MS Office
Responsibilities
- Generating experimental data, performing data analysis and reporting the results to principal investigators
- Setting up and operating laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures to support the development of new technologies
- Learning and developing new analytical techniques through lab work and literature reviews
- Recording experimental data, making calculations, presenting data, and communicating progress
- Responsible for safe working conditions and adheres to local, federal, and institutional safety regulations and policies
