Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced degree and/or CFA desirable
- 10+ years of related investment experience
- Solid understanding of fixed income and financial concepts
- Understanding of economics and capital markets

Responsibilities
- Responsible for aspects of Investment Grade portfolio management, including development, execution and communication of asset class strategy across assigned accounts to outperform index benchmarks and peer performance.
- Responsible for the relative value analysis that includes yield profiles, total return estimates, volatility, risk, structure, sector, and fundamental research across corporate credit securities.
- Proactively generates investment ideas, recommendations, and asset class strategies across all sectors within the investment grade portfolios, including portfolio construction, position sizing, risk evaluation, and problem credit management to outperform benchmark and peer performance.
- Represent the Investment Grade team, including development of materials, to present asset class strategy, market risks, exposures, and market summaries / expectations to key stakeholders.
- Engage with credit trading and research to generate company and sector investment recommendations, produce an integrated and rigorous investment process, and generate strong investment performance.
- Manage overall relationships, communications and interactions with sell side broker/dealers, to best project Nationwide Asset Management to optimize our clients’ long-term performance.
- Work closely with senior members of the credit team to provide input to improve and enhance portfolio management processes and reporting, set and engrain performance standards, and produce strong corporate credit investment results.
- Communicates performance attribution for each assigned portfolio, which may include performance relative to a benchmark, absolute performance over defined time intervals, and peer comparisons.
- As needed, execute and oversee operational processes for trade order entry and execution and ensure adherence to compliance and risk management policies for credit trading.
- As a fixed income leader, you will have indirect responsibility for overall team performance.
