Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field
- Five or more (5+) years of Sales Engineering experience or other relevant engineering experience
- Five (5) years of experience in the Oil and Gas and/or RNG Industry
- Experience writing reports, business correspondences, and sales proposals.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver complex projects.
- Capable of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions of customer requirements
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate inquiries and create formal proposals for Outside Sales Team, contractors, and end-users
- Act as a technical resource to customers and the sales team by addressing questions and resolving problems
- Identify ‘buyout’ items (i.e., purchased from 3rd parties) needed to meet customer specifications and functional requirements
- Assist in the processing of orders, including a check of pricing, ratings, and selection and sizing of components
- Collaborate multi-functionally
- Play a mentoring role for Sales Engineers
- Prepare quotations for compressors and other system components while meeting the company’s profitability, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements
- Obtain and analyze engineering data to adapt company products to customer requirements
- Match or re-engineer legacy Vilter systems to new sets of conditions and provide change-over instructions
- Maintain and improve technical proficiency, staying updated with the latest industry changes
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, quotes, documentation, etc.
- Develop fixing skills in the gas industry
- Participate in industry trade shows and organizational meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Seven or more (7+) years of Sales Engineering experience or other relevant engineering experience
- Experience using Salesforce CRM
