Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product development technical roles within manufacturing or industrial support
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering or equivalent years of experience
- Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical
- Experience with Electical Standards and codes (NEC, UL, FCC)
- Experience with reliability testing
- Experience with Electrical Instrumentation (Oscilloscope, DVM, Power analyzers, Spectrum analyzers)
- Experience with managing or leading projects associated with development of complec electrical or control systems
Responsibilities
- Safety: Unwavering commitment to ensuring our systems are developed with safety as 1st priority Ensure robust engineering processes are in place and adhered to: ie, applicable internal / external Electrical Codes, NEC, regulations, Hazops, DOE’s, SOP’s etc
- Design of electrical panels using CAD software to create schematics, wiring diagrams and BOMs
- Fabrication of proof of concepts, prototypes and production level systems
- Creation of test plans to ensure the highest quality and safety for electrical panels and systems
- Documentation for systems (part, assy, BOMs) adhering to best practices for revision control
- Performing maintenance and upgrades for systems installed in field and document revision changes
- Creation of project plans, designs of experiments (DOE) and revision controlled documentation
- Participation in the AT&S established Performance Management Process (PMP)
- Documenting results and findings into reports, emails, databases in an organized & accurate manner
- Project plans executed and completed on-time & within budget in accordance with the AT&S PDP
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with functional leaders across Airgas & Air Liquide
- Evaluation and protection of Intellectual Property (IP), working with legal department, and engineering teams, as required, to write/submit patentable inventions
- Manage internal/external research collaborations
- Collaboration with Quality & Regulatory Teams to ensure products are developed and validated in a manner that complies with applicable local and global regulatory agencies (FCC, UL, Intertek)
- Development and maintenance of business critical relationships including consultants and vendors
- Business Travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer License
- Understanding of International, specifically Canadian, electrical codes
- Experience with robotics
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
