Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
  • 12+ years of experience in Requirements Engineering or a closely related field, demonstrating the ability to effectively perform the responsibilities associated with this role.
  • Demonstrated experience with Hyperspectral imaging systems and data integration in mission environments.
  • Experience in tracing program or project requirements back to their source, including using the Joint Architecture Reference Models (JARM) and JARM Technical Service Types (TSTs) for conducting duplication and gap analysis.
  • Strong ability to work with users and stakeholders to develop and refine Sensor program requirements in response to evolving mission needs.
  • Proficiency in using DOORS Next Generation (DOORS NG) for managing requirements and interfacing with Enterprise Requirements Management systems.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, CONFLUENCE, and Tableau for tracking requirements, documentation, and managing backlog progress.
  • Experience with NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs or projects.
  • Background in working on Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) programs or projects.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Capture, decompose, and allocate sensor system requirements from documents such as ECDs, SOCs, ICBDs, CDDs, and Agency CONOPS.
  • Translate mission-level objectives into actionable requirements, with a focus on Hyperspectral imaging system capabilities and performance metrics.
  • Apply knowledge of Hyperspectral data integration to develop system functionality and ensure optimal sensor performance across enterprise platforms.
  • Conduct requirements traceability analysis using Joint Architecture Reference Models (JARM) and Technical Service Types (TSTs) to identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RVTM) to ensure validation and test coverage of Hyperspectral system functionality.
  • Collaborate across NGA acquisition offices, Integrated Program Offices, and external partners to guide engineering trade-offs and requirement refinement.
  • Utilize DOORS Next Generation (DOORS NG) to manage and track requirements lifecycle.
  • Interface with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) frameworks to ensure seamless integration across architectural components.
  • Drive program performance by developing metrics and supporting Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and investment decision-making.
  • Participate in technical reviews, engineering boards, and working groups as a senior voice in the system development lifecycle.
  • Mentor mid- and junior-level engineers, promoting knowledge-sharing and engineering excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of NGA, NSG/ASG, or related Intelligence Community program frameworks.
  • Prior involvement in Sensor Programs involving spaceborne or airborne Hyperspectral systems.
  • Experience supporting multi-INT or GEOINT fusion architectures.
  • Familiarity with agile software or systems development lifecycles within government environments.
