Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum seven (7) years working in a similar role and business complexity
  • Experience and working knowledge of the ITAR, EAR, EIPA, CGR, DPS, CSP, and Contract Security Manual (CSM) is an asset
  • Experience in asset protection and security with an understanding of physical safeguards, hierarchy of operational zones and general security is an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian customs and Global Affairs Canada regulations is an asset
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives at the same time
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective import and export compliance in accordance with Canadian and U.S. import and export laws and regulations
  • Review and manage the organization’s restricted party screening process, including implementing improvements and optimizations to the current process and software
  • Support and manage RTX program office initiatives related to: Implementing a new jurisdiction and classification assessment tool to support Canadian and U.S. import and export compliance, Implementing SAP Global Trade Services, Updating and improving the License Resource Centre, Improving global trade communications and education, Additional automation and improvement tools and projects, Audit and compliance reviews of Raytheon Canada’s activities under the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA), Defence Production Act (DPA), and Controlled Goods Regulations (CGR)
  • Perform daily trade and security compliance activities, including: Review and approve hardware export, re-export, and retransfer authorizations both domestic and international shipments, Intangible technology exports, re-exports, and retransfers, Preparation of end-user statements and export license documentation, Submission of personnel security clearance applications, renewals, and completions of controlled goods security assessments
  • Support trade compliance and security audits and implement corrective actions, as required
  • Assist with maintaining trade compliance reference material, policies, and tools used by the organization
  • Assist with implementing trade and security compliance training
  • Assist with investigations of any incidents of purported non-compliance with import, export, and security regulations
  • Serve as an Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) and Designated Official (DO) and support oversight of security measures and the implementation of the Contract Security Program (CSP), Controlled Goods Program (CSP), and Contract Security Manual (CSM) rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and working knowledge of the ITAR, EAR, EIPA, CGR, DPS, CSP, and Contract Security Manual (CSM) is an asset
