Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related Engineering degree
- Minimum of 5+ years of technical and/or manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience with data acquisition and analysis on complex problems
- Experience INCA/ETAS data acquisition, CRETA calibration delivery
- Knowledge of ICE engine controls
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate test vehicles
- Strong ability to efficiently capture and analyze empirical data
- 3+ years of experience with in-vehicle calibration
Responsibilities
- Author procedures to calibrate systems to meet product goals, and provide feedback for continuous improvement
- Help create new procedures to document standard work for new technologies
- Support the design of key strategic interfaces within Vehicle Calibration and/or Engine Controls
- Provide guidance to the software teams on necessary cal functionality, as well as verify functionality during the development process
- Help train new calibration engineers on calibration processes
- Support requirements development with respect to system behavior and cal development
- Execute testing to support software verification and validation prior to release to the calibration teams
- Lead root cause analysis & troubleshooting activities for complex system issues across the PMT
- Support the development of tools and processes to support new software functionality and calibration processes
- Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Identify and document calibration vulnerabilities and build mitigation action plans; track corrective actions
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years Engine controls calibration experience
- Master of Science in Engineering
- Multiple calibration roles across several functional areas
- DRE Experience
- Embedded Controls Development Experience
- Demonstrated software development experience
- Emissions related calibration experience including emissions testing
- Technical achievements in related areas (patents, trade secrets, SAE papers, etc)
- Emissions related hardware development experience
- HIL / SIL Development experience
- ATW experience
- Automotive OEM experience
