Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in FPGA design and implementation
  • Strong background in wireless communication systems, including modem design
  • Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDL) such as VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience with FPGA development tools and platforms, such as Xilinx, Altera, or similar
  • Deep understanding of communication theory, digital signal processing, and error correction techniques, and experience with MATLAB
  • Proven ability to optimize FPGA designs for performance, power, and area
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop FPGA-based systems for wireless communication applications
  • Implement and optimize algorithms for modulation, demodulation, error correction, and signal processing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and translate them into FPGA architectures
  • Conduct performance simulations and analyses to validate FPGA designs
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality and performance of FPGA designs in real-world conditions
  • Debug and troubleshoot FPGA designs, addressing any issues that arise during development and testing
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in FPGA technology, wireless communication standards, and signal processing techniques
  • Document design processes, test results, and performance metrics to ensure thorough and clear communication within the team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3GPP standards, particularly 5GNR
  • Knowledge of software-defined radio (SDR) platforms and tools
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ or Python
  • Familiarity with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis
  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
