Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in logistics finance or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze costs associated with international logistics, including shipping, customs duties, and tariffs.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual costs against budgets/forecasts and identify reasons for discrepancies by business unit.
  • Partner with the Digital team to enhance the inbound logistics dashboard by incorporating duty/tariff spend, providing overall oversight, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assist with developing and managing annual logistics budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, including transportation modes, tariff strategies, routing, and vendor agreements.
  • Develop financial models to assess the profitability of international logistics projects.
  • Provide financial insights to support contract negotiations with carriers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Maintain and analyze logistics data to support decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into financial systems (e.g., freight and duty standards).
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and financial policies.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks in logistics operations.
  • Serve as a key financial partner to the Director of Global Transportation, providing analytical support and insights.
  • Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, and finance teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Present financial recommendations to leadership and support strategic initiatives related to global logistics as requested.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics principles.
