Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years FP&A/accounting/analytical experience in a law firm environment
  • Proficient with 3E
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel and spreadsheet design including proficiency with pivot tables
  • Highly skilled in leveraging financial software and related technology to develop solutions
  • Must effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, have excellent attention to detail, and work well under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Chiefs and department Directors to prepare annual budgets and conduct regular budget reviews, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with departmental needs.
  • Acts in the capacity of subject matter expert on financial reporting systems and provides support to department leaders to ensure understanding of their budgets and financial reports.
  • Proactively identify and provide ad hoc financial summaries and analyses to department leaders to solve significant business problems and support department operations and projects.
  • Conducts monthly GL account reviews and tracks significant variances; collaborates with Controller on analyzing budget-to-actual variances and assisting in the JE reclassification process.
  • Lead the effort in developing and transitioning recurring reports to dashboard environments and process efficiencies.
  • Assist in the development of cube-based reporting.
  • Assist in preparing the annual revenue budget.
  • Prepare financial management reports, including monthly financial statement package.
  • Analyze key performance measures; discuss findings and observations.
  • Lead the effort to identify necessary updates to existing financial management reports and develop new reports as needed.
  • Gather data and prepare reports in connection with review and compensation cycle.
  • Prepare responses to benchmarking, census and other industry surveys.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyze client/firm statistics/metrics and propose recommendations based on analysis.
  • Complete special projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
