- BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or other related field.
- 5+ years relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Work with functional business partners to prepare and update rolling monthly forecasts for departmental expenses utilizing the Company’s planning tools
- Perform monthly departmental budget vs. actual analysis and provide actionable insights to management
- Coordinate with the PMO to develop tools and methodologies to track project resource allocations and costs
- Collaborate with R&D clinical product groups to track relevant metrics and achievement milestones
- Collaborate with stakeholders and prepare ad-hoc or periodic reports and, or analysis as needed
- Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses for long-range forecasting
- Refine reporting packages and presentation materials for both internal and external stakeholders, including quarterly Board of Directors’ packages
- Define key financial and reporting metrics and assist in Tableau report creation with the business analytics team
- All other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success partnering with executive leaders and stakeholders, preferably within an R&D function in life sciences or a related industry
- Proven track record of providing visibility into complex financial and operating trends and actionable analyses/insights to drive operational improvements
- Integration experience between disparate sets of data and systems across the organization
- Financial modeling and analysis techniques in high growth organizations, including expert level MS Excel skills
- Experience in financial and managerial accounting concepts including GAAP, revenue recognition, and cash and accrual methodologies
- Experience and familiarity with cash flow concepts such as DCF, IRR and NPV
- Proven self-starter with a bias for action and roll-up sleeves attitude
- Strong written and spoken communication with functional leaders and executives
- Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously
- Collaborative and customer-service work style
- Experience in fast-paced, rapidly growing environments
