Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all building systems and critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the building envelope, data center and critical environments including fire/life safety, plumbing, mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Electrical, mechanical installation, repair and maintenance of equipment and building automation systems
  • Plumbing installation, repair and maintenance of chilled water systems and general plumbing needs throughout the facility
  • Conducts a routine and on-going assessment of the building systems operations
  • Perform tests, rounds and analyzes data to assure the proper functioning of critical equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment
  • Ensure efficient operation of all building systems
  • Maintain proper lighting in all areas of the building
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures as well as utilization of protective equipment
  • Maintain open and on-going communication with leadership, colleagues, contractors and vendors
  • Assist in updating and/or maintain as-built drawings
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations (i.e. power outages, fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns
  • Assist with maintaining inventory control programs/purchase tools, parts and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agencies and ADC directives as relates to building operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree (AA/AS) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of three years of related experience and/or training preferred
  • In lieu of an AA/AS degree, must have Journey Level experience in either electrical or mechanical trades
  • Prefer electrical and mechanical licenses
