Requirements
- Experience in environmental science or a related field
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Analytical skills for data management and reporting
- Ability to conduct field data collection and sampling activities
- Experience with multi-media sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, wastewater, NORMs)
Responsibilities
- Perform and document field data collection activities
- Assist in the completion of project level work (daily timesheets and work plans, data management, analyze field and technical data, and report preparation)
- Conduct multi-media sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, wastewater, NORMs)
- Completion of fieldwork, including documenting site activities, soil and groundwater sampling, soil characterization, monitoring water quality, and discharging water to surface
- Providing scheduling review and support of upcoming field work
- Performing project risk reviews related to anticipated waste generator
- Prepare appropriate health and safety documents and participate in client health and safety meetings and adhere to Stantec’s and our clients’ safety procedures
- Prepare daily summary emails and site diagrams and submit reports to online reporting systems
- Learn and follow standard operation procedures for work assigned
- Schedule, conduct, and document environmental and stormwater inspections
