Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering or related STEM field.
  • Mastery of fundamental engineering concepts, including EE, Mech E, Programming, Physics, and Mathematics.
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary hardware development projects, which can be from an internship, job, club, team, personal project, etc…
  • Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results.
  • Record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an organization consisting of multiple engineering and technician teams in designing, deploying, and maintaining test stands that support production and qualification of our aircraft.
  • Perform regular 1:1s, provide career guidance, and document performance for all the individuals on your team.
  • Contribute to the entire employee lifecycle, from candidate identification and interviewing to career growth, promotion, or separation.
  • Develop documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for how things are done on the Hardware Test Engineering Team.
  • Own requirements gathering, design, and validation of multiple test stands used to test components and subsystems on all our vehicles.
  • Gain expertise in multiple engineering disciplines as you lead development of PCBA, Jet engine, actuators, and more test stands.
  • Design test stands and test fixtures, which may include relays, PLCs, PCBAs, harnessing, and various other pieces of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Contribute to and attend cross-functional design reviews. Advocate for design changes that result in simpler testing processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python or any scripting language.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, etc…
  • Experience with eCAD tools such as Altium, Eagle, etc…
  • Demonstrated adaptability, agility, and the ability to innovate under pressure to meet dynamic project demands and drive successful outcomes.
