Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical system design and engineering
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering within an industrial setting (engineering or operations)
- Oil & Gas industry experience is required, with a preference for LNG applications
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NETA, ANSI)
- Proficiency with Power System Modeling Tools (ETAP preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering assignments related to equipment, components, structures, and systems design
- Develop intermediate to advanced-level specifications for project assignments, incorporating project requirements, design codes, and vendor drawing criteria
- Perform engineering calculations, create analysis models, and prepare technical sketches for complex project designs
- Review and approve vendor drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Work closely with drafting/design teams to develop and review engineering drawings
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions, and inspect vendor facilities for compliance with specifications
- Prepare inquiry and purchase requisitions, and evaluate vendor bids
- Contribute to the development of internal design guidelines, specifications, and control procedures
- Utilize power system modeling tools such as ETAP/SKM for system analysis
- Ensure adherence to company and client health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards and federal/local regulations
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities is highly desirable
- Hands-on expertise in designing and working with Switchgear (138kV, 4.16kV, 480V), Motor Control Centers (MCC), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Transformers, Energy Management Systems (EMS/SCADA), and Electrical System Studies
