Senior Energetics Manufacturing Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or a related field.
4-10 years of direct experience in energetics manufacturing.
Comprehensive understanding of solid rocket motor design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with process control, quality assurance, and failure analysis methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to energetics manufacturing (e.g., DoD 4145.26, ASTM, CDLE).

Design, develop, and optimize energetic manufacturing processes for solid rocket motors.
Oversee the production of energetic materials, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, testing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement process control methods to monitor and improve production efficiency and product consistency.
Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to address manufacturing defects and improve product reliability.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in energetics manufacturing.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and specifications.
Train and mentor manufacturing technicians and junior engineers in best practices and safety protocols.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in materials, manufacturing techniques, and aerospace industry trends.

6+ years experience in energetics manufacturing.
A desire to think outside the box and buck industry trends.
Direct involvement in standing up new mixing and/or milling systems.
Collaboration with propellant development teams to deploy new formulations of energetics.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing systems and equipment.
