Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (California or New York admission preferred)
- 5+ years of substantive employment law experience, with at least two years spent in-house at a high-growth technology company
- Deep knowledge of federal and key state employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA) and familiarity with the equivalent non-U.S. employment frameworks
- Ability to think creatively, function independently and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Team-focused, hyper-responsive and collaborative work style; willingness to build expertise and solve new challenges in an evolving practice
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day counseling to the People team and other business partners on a range of U.S. and international employment law matters (e.g., performance management, terminations, accommodations, wage-and-hour compliance, leaves of absence, contingent workforce matters, and employee relations)
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve scalable employment policies, handbooks, and training programs that support a growing global workforce
- Partner with People team on internal investigations and manage employment litigation
- Draft and review employment-related agreements (e.g., offer letters, separation agreements, and contractor agreements)
- Support all immigration matters
- Contribute to other corporate legal matters (e.g., global expansion and strategic transactions)

- Familiarity with employee privacy matters
- Experience with equity compensation programs
