Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in construction and electrical safety roles
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other local/state/federal regulations
  • Certifications such as CSP, CHST, OSHA 30/OSHA 510, NFPA 70E, or First Aid/CPR are highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and other applicable state and federal regulations
  • Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and safety violations; recommend corrective actions
  • Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety
  • Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and prepare reports for internal and external audits
  • Assist in preparing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and safety documentation for project approvals
  • Stay current with updates to safety laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Collaborate with local management to prepare and maintain site-level emergency response plans
  • Communicate with safety-related and environmental agencies before, during, and after emergencies
  • Manage hazardous waste including scheduling, training, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections on a daily, weekly, and quarterly basis
  • Deliver safety training on various topics including working at heights, lockout/tagout, and new EHS initiatives
  • Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) assessment and implementation
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CSP, CHST, OSHA 30/OSHA 510, NFPA 70E, or First Aid/CPR are highly desirable
