Requirements
- 5+ years experience in EHS (experience in engineering environments is a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus
- Expertise in EHS regulations at local, state, and federal levels
- Expertise with at least one of the following: Battery engineering and testing, Chemical Hygiene Plan, OSHA hazardous location classification, NFPA 70E
- Demonstrated ability to obtain buy-in for safety initiatives across an organization
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across an organization
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day EHS operations of a fast-paced engineering and test facility along with nearby prototype sites
- Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and associated training
- Manage EHS review process including risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and standard operating procedures for complex engineering operations
- Review hazard identifications (HAZIDs) and operability studies (HAZOPs) with engineering teams for safety and compliance
- Manage monthly workplace inspection program at the facility
- Support incident response, investigation, and root cause analysis
- Promote a strong, positive safety culture throughout the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus
- Passion for safety culture and EHS leadership
