Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with at least 13+ years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Project management experience including early and late-stage drug development as a program manager.
  • Proven ability to apply pharmaceutical R&D project management principles, concepts, best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical program/organization; requires minimal program strategic direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in team environments and resolve conflicts within internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to understand and communicate scientific and business data clearly, with strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new skills and maintain high productivity, and deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program team leads and functional leadership to establish and structure the program team.
  • Define project scope and strategy in partnership with the program team lead and functional team members, developing comprehensive, end-to-end program plans with clear objectives, milestones, and measurable deliverables.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of governance documents, project reports, budgets, and other key materials.
  • Manages multiple projects within complex programs, maximizing value generation and strategic alignment.
  • Represent the program team, in governance meetings alongside the program team lead, ensuring clear communication of progress and key decisions.
  • Proactively identify program risks, implement mitigation strategies, and communicate potential issues to senior executive management in a timely manner.
  • Drive execution of program plans, ensuring critical decision-making and accountability for delivering program goals and milestones on time and within budget.
  • Provides expert guidance on budget planning, forecasting and leveraging quantitative analytics to track progress, costs and resource allocation.
  • Co-chair action-oriented program team and partnership meetings, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up on decisions and action items.
  • Lead or contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening company culture, and developing sustainable business processes.
  • Foster and exemplify high-performing team behaviors, including transparency, collaboration, shared accountability, and humility.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of PM staff by facilitating career development opportunities and providing guidance.
  • Support Arsenal’s growth by partnering with stakeholders across the organization in identifying areas needing PM support and creating a framework to resource the organizations needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification and alliance management experience are desired.
  • Prior experience in cell therapy, synthetic biology, and immuno-oncology research highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in GSuite, Smartsheet, and other productivity tools is a plus.
