Requirements
- Experience in managing complex construction or refurbishment projects
- Ability to negotiate with local and state jurisdictions
- Experience in overseeing project teams including facility administration, project coordinators, general contractors, and contracted consultants
- Knowledge of project budgeting and scheduling
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in construction projects
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of the design and construction process
- Secure management support for project scopes, budgets, and goals
- Negotiate with local and state jurisdictions
- Define project parameters in terms of time, money, and physical objectives
- Oversee and manage a project team
- Lead internal stakeholder teams in establishing scope, budget, and schedule
- Supervise on-site design and construction teams
- Evaluate and provide guidance during planning stages of facilities
- Negotiate fees and business decisions for contracts
- Review and approve consultant and contractor invoices
- Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead procurement for all necessary permits
- Develop and maintain Master Project Schedules
- Prepare RFPs for vendor and contractor services
- Facilitate critical project meetings
- Manage project performance against schedules and milestones
- Accountable for human resource decisions for direct reports
