Requirements

  • Knowledge of computer systems, both PC based (MS Suite), as well as familiarity of transportation systems (Manhattan, FourKites) is preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Supply Chain, with significant experience in transportation and logistics management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously and drive them to successful completion.
  • Demonstrated success in developing talent, implementing effective succession planning strategies, and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with a proven track record of managing significant budgets and driving P&L optimization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize all store delivery activities and related transportation functions (transfers, storage pullbacks, reverse logistics, etc.) across the assigned regions, utilizing both private and third-party dedicated resources to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and execute strategies focused on optimizing P&L performance, including accurate forecasting of expenses and income, and achieving annual budget targets.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service through consistent on-time delivery performance, proactive communication, and accurate invoicing processes.
  • Maintain strong alignment and collaboration between field operations, routing, and process and planning sub-functions to maximize resource utilization and consistently achieve or exceed contractual on-time delivery levels and regional goals.
  • Ensure regional and local leadership operates at expected levels of productivity, safety, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the carrier management function to address non-dedicated third-party carrier needs, including shuttles, large capacity constraints, and surge requirements.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and authoritative company representative in litigation matters related to transportation, working closely with legal counsel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Supply Chain, Transportation and Warehouse Operations a plus.
