Requirements
- 9+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, pricing dynamics and has market specific awareness.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- May require up to 50% travel.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting both regional and national leadership in executing the Bank’s strategic plan, with specific focus of leading the efforts to grow the loan and deposit portfolio of the assigned region or business line.
- Executes the tactical strategy outlined by leadership regarding transaction pitches and negotiation of term sheets.
- Guides the credit structuring development process, customer assessment, and presentation to senior and divisional loan committees.
- Responsible for the team’s success in managing portfolio health, and the team’s efforts to pro-actively address deteriorating loan performance, mitigating risk from market developments, complications in service delivery, and product adoption.
- Fosters strong, healthy working relationships with executive and senior leaders in partner departments (including Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, Loan Administration, and other internal support departments, and third-party services), and facilitates team’s contribution to and compliance with technical processes and requirements, risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer service.
- Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
