Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Certification Risk Management Professional (CRMP)/Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Enterprise risk management strategy aligned with the University’s objectives, including management of the annual enterprise risk assessment.
- Manage and develop policies, frameworks, and processes for identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating Enterprise risks across all business units, including the establishment and maintenance of enterprise risk tolerance.
- Regularly update Enterprise risk assessments and profiles, presenting findings to the University leadership.
- Oversee the management of ongoing issues by working with internal audit, legal, information technology and business unit teams to address any organizational, regulatory or enterprise risks.
- Responsible for developing insurance strategy by aligning insurance plan with enterprise risk strategy, and based on input from university leadership.
- Plans for and manages the University’s coverage elections, student health insurance, and other insurance programs.
- Develops annual renewal strategy and proactively identifies risk mitigation tactics and techniques to secure favorable rates and renewals for the University.
- Provides advice and guidance to Risk Management department on administration of risk program, insurance matters, exceptions management, policy and compliance matters.
- Co-leads the development and implementation of campus wide emergency preparedness plans with the Assistant Vice President of Business Services and Assistant Vice President of University Safety and University Police.
- Manages the Enterprise Risk Management team, including supervision for three direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
