Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience working in automating installation, monitoring and O&M tasks using Linux scripting or Python.
  • Experience working with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, Google or OpenStack.
  • Experience with Cron, iptables, permissions.
  • Experience with OpenVPN, SELinux, Network File System (NFS) and Common Internet File System (CIFS).
  • Strong foundation in Linux; ideally with certifications
  • Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC.
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
  • Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Postgres.
  • Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
  • Experience with VMware technologies, to include vSphere 7/8, VSAN, and specifically VMware Horizon View Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to work with partners, engineering, and vendors.
  • Quick learner, detail oriented, demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work.

Responsibilities

  • Building a DevOps pipeline using AWS, Azure, Google technologies, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD and tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Building and deploying infrastructure using Automation tools such as Linux scripting, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Using your knowledge of APIs to design RESTful services, and integrate them with existing data providers using JSON or XML as needed.
  • Oral and written communication skills providing design, standard operating procedures, and security documentation.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and help clients with their technical issues before escalating to senior staff.
  • Provide emergency 24×7 on-call support on a rotation basis.
