Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in kitchen, bath, cabinetry, or home renovation design
- Confidence working in design software like 2020, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools
- Track record of meeting or beating sales goals
- Flexible schedule for retail hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field is preferred
- Experience mentoring or training others in a retail or design setting
- Professional certification (NKBA, NAHB, NARI, or KBDI) is a plus
- End-to-end product knowledge from cabinetry to tile
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and communication
Responsibilities
- Lead cabinetry and home renovation projects from concept to completion
- Educate customers on cabinetry construction types, materials, finishes, and specialty features
- Deliver personalized consultations in-store, virtual, or in-home
- Develop floor plans, mood boards, 3D visuals, and complete product packages
- Stay ahead of design trends and new materials
- Use analytics and digital tools to build persuasive space plans and presentations
- Generate new leads, build customer rapport, and close on personalized solutions
- Help with visual updates, floor sets, and inventory tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years focused on cabinetry
- Familiarity with CRM/POS systems (like Salesforce)
- Mentoring or training experience in a retail or design setting
- NKBA, NAHB, NARI, or KBDI certifications are a plus
