Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field from an accredited engineering curriculum
- Extensive experience in analytical thinking
- Extensive experience in effective communications
- Extensive experience in managing multiple priorities
- Extensive experience in computer-aided design & engineering
- Extensive experience in product design and development
Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer specifications to develop and recommend solutions to their technical problems.
- Provide technical guidance on needs analysis and initiate ideas.
- Evaluate, design, and promote new products, components, processes, or systems.
- Review testing requirements, develop test procedures, and execute testing.
- Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units.
- Contribute to the design of new products and processes.
- Provide technical guidance on product and process maintenance.
- Research and develop new technology.
- Work closely with and communicate concepts and results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units.
- Collaborate with suppliers and monitor and evaluate supplier quality.
- Assist in the integration of repair procedures and installation instructions into ILS publications.
- Analyze engine package, system, and component failures to determine root cause.
Preferred Qualifications
- Marine or Electric Power mechanical design, testing and analysis knowledge and skillset desired.
- Engine performance and validation knowledge and skillset desired.
- Cat Defense and/or U.S. Military processes and product requirement knowledge and skillset desired.
