Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Advanced degrees in statistics preferred.
- Typically requires minimum of 7-10 years work experience in experimentation.
- Database and analytical experience required. Python and SQL preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time.
- Independent and highly self-motivated.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and measuring experiments used to optimize interactions with customers
- Build scalable processes and technical solutions that will allow for concurrently running many experiments in a way that doesn’t preclude establishing causality
- Partner with non-technical stakeholders to create alignment on rigorously designed experiments
- Partner with engineering teams to provide requirements that ensure experiments are implemented as designed
- Review test results with stakeholders and inform strategic decisions made because of measured results
- Provide thought leadership to peers on statistical best practices pertaining to personalization and marketing analytics
- Translate technical findings to business impact, including an ability to articulate tradeoffs with candidate test designs (i.e., long-term learning benefit vs. short-term optimization)
- Partner with engineering to deploy experimentation technical products into existing production systems
- Ensure all technical processes are well documented and understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Actively contribute to a test & learn roadmap for an always-on personalization engine with a focus on driving better customer outcomes
- Stay abreast of methods, tools, and best practices pertaining to applied statistics and causal inference
