Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience administering on-prem/cloud-based multiuser environments with expertise in planning, designing, building, and implementing complex database systems
- Experience with Data Management initiatives such as data cataloging and governance
- Experience with data visualization and dashboard capabilities
- Experience gathering data-related requirements and converting them to actionable products
- Experience with data modeling and Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs)
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Understanding of Data Zero Trust Architectures
- Familiar with open-source DBMS tools such as pgAdmin, pgModeler, or DBeaver
- Possess analytic problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of computer software applications, including database technologies and programming languages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Poly (US Citizenship required)
- BA/BS Degree in a Technical field (i.e., Computer Science, Software Engineering), or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 7 years of related work experience
Responsibilities
- Work with end users to produce data analytics use cases based on business processes
- Must remain on the client site during core hours of 0900-1500
- Support COTS product tailoring to demonstrate how use cases can be satisfied
- Provide hands-on end-user COTS support and mentoring
- Become a subject matter expert relating to the application data architecture and database environments
- Gain understanding of the budget production and operational support process and the relationship to the as-is data model
- Gain understanding of the customer’s Oracle application management, dashboard, and visualization capabilities
- Support Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) product research and development efforts to evaluate data management, architecture compliance, and zero-trust security requirements
- Support identification of database efficiencies
- Leverage experience to provide support in the areas of data mapping, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience tailoring data management products to meet defined use cases
- Experience implementing and deploying databases in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with optimizing database performance through exhaustive proactive testing and ongoing real-time monitoring
- Experience in SQL scripting and database functions
- Experience in testing database security and enterprise policy guidelines according to established best practices
