Requirements
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, statistical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, charts and building functions, required.
- Demonstrated programming experience with database programming (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Access, SQLite).
- High familiarity with Power-BI reporting.
- Experience with Python, R, VBA, MatLab is a plus.
- Familiarity with machine learning models, risk-based models and probabilistic analysis is a plus.
- Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in a quantitative field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of industry experience in data analytics or data engineering.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes processes and data and converts this into value added thinking and information and actionable insights.
- Identifies opportunities for process change or continuous improvement and participates in the acceptance and implementation of the change including the development of in-house analytics tools.
- Understands information technology solutions and how they apply to business needs.
- Performs or assists in ad-hoc querying and reporting as requested by Eversource management or personnel.
- Works with various departments throughout the Company analyzing data and processes.
- Develops reports, prepares and delivers presentations, writes procedures and performs other activities as needed.
- Responsible for storm restoration and emergency assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Word and Power Point, preferred.
- Experience with electrical utilities and electrical distribution systems, preferred.
- Former supervisory experience preferred.
