Requirements
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills are required, including the ability to analyze raw data, perform statistical testing, identify trend drivers, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendations and their forecasted outcomes/implications
- Ability to structure and analyze data with SQL and Python
- Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets and complex analytical projects
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to aggregate information and data from multiple sources
- Experience with Looker or other data visualization/dashboarding tools
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey and package technical findings in layman’s terms
- Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment is a plus
Responsibilities
- Apply advanced analytics techniques (data mining, data visualization, statistical testing) in SQL and Python to answer complex business problems
- Develop the back-end data infrastructure, extracting and integrating data from a wide variety of sources to build automated Looker dashboards to convey data, insights, and trends
- Support complex technical projects, workstreams, and new data initiatives across the data team
- Build robust data visualizations and interactive dashboards that are capable of delivering information in an intelligent and digestible manner
- Lead in developing workflows for data aggregation, and harmonization from multiple endpoints into one single system
- Ideate and develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance
- Communicate concise data points, trends, and measurement strategies to a broad audience of both technical and non-technical teams
- Collaborate with other non-technical teams within the business (such as distribution, content, and sales) to develop reporting and rapidly assist in ad hoc requests
- Partner with Data Science and Data Engineering teams to deliver data solutions which meet business and technical requirements
- Synthesize complex findings into clear recommendations for both internal and external client constituents
- Understand different categories of data and their locations
- Adapt and move quickly in a fast paced environment, with a pragmatic approach to analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree from a well-regarded college or university; STEM degrees are preferred
- 2+ years of hands-on experience doing quantitative statistical analysis
- An analytical mindset with the ability to communicate findings to others
- An independent worker with strong time management and organization skills
- A passionate problem solver with the ability to develop creative solutions
- A strong team player, willing to roll up your sleeves and collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment
