Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- 1-year experience as an Entry Level Customer Service Representative.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers regarding library services, resources, technology and programs for the assigned unit as well as the library system.
- Implement standards of service that ensure the prompt and efficient resolution of each inquiry by internal and external customers, delivered with the utmost respect and courtesy.
- May facilitate in the setup of program rooms, materials, and equipment for public, library, and County events.
- Assist in materials checkout/check-in, retrieves and process reserves, billing and missing items processes as needed.
- Gathers statistical information as required.
- Participates in system-wide, agency, and county teams and projects.
- Assists in cash management duties such as collecting fees, and Unique Management collections, including such duties as daily shift, drawer counts, and deposits as needed.
- Assists at service desks and to other sections as needed.
- Keeps abreast of developments, new trends, and innovations in libraries; applies knowledge to improve services.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-5 years experience in public contact customer service work.
- Proficiency in computer related to public response.
- Customer service experience working in libraries or similar settings.
