Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Five to seven years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
- Five to seven years of management experience
Responsibilities
- Directly and through staff, manages and coordinates the operational activities for assigned functional area(s)/regions(s)
- Ensures quality service and effective securities operations activities for all supported internal and external customers
- Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals
- Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Participates in the preparation of the department’s budget and is accountable for managing expenses and actively contributing to the achievement of department net income goals
- Proactively manages operational risks associated with span of responsibility, including the identification of control gaps and the design of operational controls to mitigate risks and financial exposure to the organization
- Participates in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units and coordinating system conversions from an operations perspective
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth Management & Securities Services business lines and clients
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent supervisory and management skills, including a well-developed knowledge of human resources
- Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks
- Additional one to three years’ experience managing Managers preferred
