Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to seven years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
  • Five to seven years of management experience

Responsibilities

  • Directly and through staff, manages and coordinates the operational activities for assigned functional area(s)/regions(s)
  • Ensures quality service and effective securities operations activities for all supported internal and external customers
  • Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals
  • Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Participates in the preparation of the department’s budget and is accountable for managing expenses and actively contributing to the achievement of department net income goals
  • Proactively manages operational risks associated with span of responsibility, including the identification of control gaps and the design of operational controls to mitigate risks and financial exposure to the organization
  • Participates in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units and coordinating system conversions from an operations perspective

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth Management & Securities Services business lines and clients
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent supervisory and management skills, including a well-developed knowledge of human resources
  • Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks
  • Additional one to three years’ experience managing Managers preferred
