Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience); CPA, CMA, or an advanced degree is a strong plus.
- 12+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance, ideally in a global hardware or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, and product cost structures.
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with large, complex data sets.
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, or similar financial tools.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze Return Material Authorization (RMA) activities and related costs, ensuring accurate and timely financial tracking.
- Perform RMA inventory and excess stock analysis to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Support RMA repair centers and Forward Stocking Locations (FSLs), providing financial insights into performance and cost impacts.
- Lead reverse logistics cost analysis, identifying key cost drivers and supporting efficiency initiatives.
- Support warranty reserve processes through accurate forecasting and data-driven analysis.
- Support month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed COGS analysis.
- Drive monthly forecasting of RMA costs, inventory impact, and reverse logistics spending.
- Prepare and analyze key financial metrics to support business decisions and executive-level reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of cost accounting systems, working closely with IT and cross-functional partners.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, SOX controls, and external audit requirements for inventory and COGS.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, IT, and Business Units to deliver accurate cost analysis and support critical initiatives.
- Identify and lead improvement and automation opportunities to increase efficiency in reporting and analytics.
- Provide robust ad hoc analysis to support evolving business needs and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.
- Extensive experience with SAP in a finance and operations context.
- Deep knowledge of product costing and manufacturing financials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships.
- A passion for driving operational improvements and enhancing financial systems.
