Requirements
- Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree in event management or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of work experience on conferences and events; experience in event management preferred.
- Cvent and Workday experience preferred.
- Ability to put members at the center of decision-making and possess a desire to create and execute a stellar member experience onsite.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate change.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; must have active listening skills with the ability to synthesize data and ask questions to help define outcomes.
- Strong critical thinking skills are required.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- Actively look for ways to assist internal and external teams to exceed customer expectations.

- Experience in monitoring budgets.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate with key stakeholders, including internal clients and event team members to establish and meet event goals and objectives.
- Assist with the sourcing, planning, and staffing for approximately 20 DC-based committee meetings at local hotels.
- Collaborate with ABA’s Executive Office, and assist in the planning and staffing of two (2) annual Government Relations special events including theme development, menu selection, vendor management, and onsite support.
- Support ABA’s hybrid conference experiences by collaborating with virtual platform vendors to identify and consider new features to enhance virtual event experiences and review pre-recorded content to ensure ABA quality standards are achieved.
- Maintain historical data, such as room block and attendance information for ABA committee meetings and recommend process improvements to enhance the success of future events and the delivery of internal customer service.
- Assist in the scheduling of recorded speaker presentations for select ABA conferences.
- Collaborate with virtual platform vendors to identify and implement features to enhance the virtual attendee experience.
- Review recorded content to ensure ABA quality standards are met.
- Assist in the review of the platform before launch to ensure accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in event management or related field preferred.
- Cvent and Workday experience preferred.
