Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in media and partner management for a sports or media organization.
  • General knowledge of soccer.
  • Deep understanding of the ever-evolving sports marketing, entertainment, and media landscape.
  • Knowledge of standard media planning terminology and metrics.
  • Be a collaborative, passionate, results-oriented person who wants to make a difference.
  • Ability to prioritize and cope with rapid change, as well as be comfortable with problem-solving while maintaining calm under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Superior organization, time management, project management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders/executives.
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time to select matches and other events as needed.
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments.
  • Must be able to connect ‘micro’ details to the ‘macro’ vision and mission.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day tasks of the Media department as deemed by the Senior Manager of Media Partnerships.
  • Support in the development and execution of promotional plans with key marketing initiatives via media partner channels.
  • Work closely with various internal departments – Brand Marketing, Content, Partnership Marketing, and Digital teams to drive cohesive tune-in marketing initiatives.
  • Research industry trends and best practices.
  • Brainstorm creative activation ideas to support partners in ideating activation strategies.
  • Develop presentations and proposals for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and update status documents and agendas.
  • Support with the department’s budget maintenance – processing invoices and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Support the Media Operations team at select U.S. Soccer events, including but not limited to home and away U.S. Senior National Team matches, SheBelieves Cup, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and other tentpole events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sports and working with high-profile athletes, coaches, and teams.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) – able to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
